It’s spoooooooooky season! 👻
Personally, I’m a big Halloween gal. Growing up, I always loved dressing up in different costumes, trick-or-treating with my friends, and staying up late after a crazy sugar high.
Now that we are grown up, most of us spend our Halloween nights taking our kids trick-or-treating and dishing out candy to the little ones in our neighborhoods. But the fun doesn’t have to stop for us!
For our couple’s with fall wedding dates, keep the festivities going and incorporate Halloween into your spook-tacular day! Here are a few of our favorite ideas for a Halloween-themed wedding — without going overboard.
- Pumpkin decor
- There are so many ways to highlight Halloween in your festive fall decor, and pumpkins are one of them! Whether you want to aim for a more traditional look with orange pumpkins, or a crisp, clean look with white gourds, there are so many ways to customize this quintessential decor piece. Place pumpkins along your ceremony aisle, include them in your centerpieces, or use them to build place cards! The possibilities are endless.
- Hay bale accents
- Hay bales are a classic fall feature that will surely spruce up your ceremony space — stack them near the arch with your pumpkins for a bold focal point, or pop them at the base of your welcome sign or seating chart!
- Candy favors
- Build your own custom candy and dessert bar with Halloween-themed treats! If you plan to have little ones at your wedding, you can take this a step further — put candy dishes on each reception table and let the kiddos “trick-or-treat” with your guests.
- Costume dress code
- Ask your guests to come dressed in costume for a bold Halloween holiday event!
